How to use it
- Enter your scramble. Tap each sticker with the colour it shows, or paint one face at a time. Use the 3D view or the flat unfolded view, whichever is easier to follow.
- Hit solve. Cubeway checks the cube is real (six matching centre colours) and finds a solution in 20 moves or fewer.
- Follow the arrows. Each step names the move and shows which way to turn. Step through them one at a time, or scan the whole storyboard at once.

Is this Rubik’s Cube solver free?
Yes. Solving is free, with no sign-up and no ads on the solve flow.
Do I need to know cube notation?
No. Every move is explained in plain language, like "turn the right face clockwise." Notation (R, U, F, and so on) is available as an optional toggle for people who already know it.
How many moves is the solution?
Cubeway's free default solver (Two-phase) finds a solution in 20 moves or fewer. That's at or near God's Number, the most moves any scramble ever needs.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Cubeway works in any modern phone, tablet or desktop browser. There is no app to install.
What algorithm does it use?
The free default solver uses Herbert Kociemba's two-phase algorithm. Cubeway also has a Standard (CFOP) method (Cross, F2L, OLL, PLL), the way speedcubers solve by hand.
